The Brief
"Reconnect" - A place for two groups of Community to unite - Young and Old generation. A place for the community to gather and share knowledge. A catalyst of the street.
RECONNECTING FRACTURED SOCIETY
•fragmented •connect •unite
Every different time in a day, people passing through Jalan Haji Salleh, with different routine for each individual. Each individual walking their own path and minding their own business; out to lunch, out to school, out to prayer. Different generation gap between young and old generations seems to have their own agenda. Society being fractured and fragmented, the street becomes a non-interactive space between these society.
THE PROGRAMME
• Goal to aid community of Sentul.
• Organises tuition class, blood donation, medical aid, Personal counseling, food aid, camps and seminars.
MORNING
OLD GENERATION - A place for older generation meet and read.
YOUNG GENERATION - For school to held activities such as educational camps or any community based activities.
NIGHT
Both generation meets - becoming a place for knowledge, culture and community life Library glows and acts as a urban lantern welcoming everyone to enter.
